These are based on the Fibonacci sequence, whose relationship between any two numbers moves closer to the golden ratio of ancient aesthetic harmonies. This allows me to cast surfaces and patterns that I find or manipulate in my environment to become speculatively composted in a modular system to create veinyets of thoughts and sensations realised in the surface. This modular system’s proportions blend aesthetically to create harmonies and discordances'. The system being subordinate to artistic intentions explores the troubling dichotomy between the need for order in a seemingly chaotic universe and the creative urges ranglings against the boundaries of a systemic structure as a possible formula for the internal conflicts of human experience.
